"For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with detail.
Even as a child, I was drawn to complex, intricate engineering, from inner clock workings to micro-mechanics, and being born from a family of artists and craftspeople, it wasn't long before I too chose tools and materials over conventional toys.
Intrigued by the intricacy of jewellery as a teenager, I began making bracelets and selling them to friends. However, after being introduced to blacksmithing by my grandfather, a newly discovered love of metalwork inspired my first contemporary jewellery designs in copper.
Wrestling the ambition to start my own jewellery business against the desire to develop my creative skills, I decided to focus on the latter first, and was accepted to study Contemporary Applied Arts, specialising in Jewellery & Silversmithing.
Having achieved a 1st Class Honours, I went on to work with multiple luxury jewellery retailers, deepening my knowledge of diamonds and precious stones, before eventually realising my dream of becoming a freelance jewellery designer."
Mr Neill now runs his own workshop in a private location in Northern Ireland, designing and making bespoke fine jewellery for a range of clients across the UK.
